Our address is Miriam Medical Centre, Birkenhead Medical Building, 31 Laird St, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 8DB. Click here for a Google map that shows our location.
The practice was started by Dr. Mantgani in 1987, and was originally located at Miriam Place on the St James roundabout end of Laird Street. What began as a small neighbourhood clinic expanded to serve a population of around 5,000 patients.
We remained in our old building for 23 years, becoming the first General Practitioner’s surgery in the UK to become ISO 9001 certified for achieving high quality in policies and procedures, as well as the first practice on the Wirral Peninsula to be accredited with Paperless Practice Status. Our additional quality standards include a National Clean Air Award, an Investor in People Award and a 100% achievement from the Quality & Outcomes Framework.
